A non-structural horizontal timber batten for cavity construction. The grooves provide drainage and ventilation. Use with Hardie™ Oblique™ and Stria™ Cladding shiplap boards in a vertical orientation.

The unique castellations and top face slope are designed to allow effective air ventilation and help eliminate the risk of water pooling, so it can be used in a system that is compliant with drainage requirements of the National Construction Code 2022.

The Hardie™ Structural Batten also helps to enable re-cladding over an existing brick exterior with vertical Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding and Stria™ Cladding.
